The read

A two-axis result, not a score about a person.

Placement shows where the bindable record sits. Confidence shows how much of that record the index could read. One without the other is incomplete.

Clear enough for talent. Structured enough for legal and risk.

Illustrative enterprise read

Every placement travels with confidence.

The example uses an invented person, company, requisition, and evidence set. It demonstrates the target surface, not a deployed customer record.

Confidence measures how much the index could read, not how much the index approves of someone.

Placement

Four levels, plus two states that are not levels.

The scale uses one blue family at four weights. It shows position on a scale without turning evidence into a traffic-light judgment.

The four placement levels

Established Authoritywith confidence
Recognized Credibilitywith confidence
Building Credibilitywith confidence
Emerging Presencewith confidence

States outside the ladder

A refusal always wins before the placement states are evaluated.

Insufficient basis to place
Not started yet
No hidden level. Once a refusal matches, placement states are never reached.

Evidence vocabulary

Four states, each with a precise meaning.

The index never labels a person true, false, honest, or dishonest.

Supported

The available evidence directly supports the reading.

Corroborated

More than one bindable source supports the reading.

Uncorroborated

Nothing on the record binds the claim to this person. It does not mean the claim is untrue.

Not read

The instrument did not qualify or could not responsibly read the signal.

When the evidence stops

See the same product decline to answer.

The refusal is machine readable, auditable, and impossible for the customer to override.
